* Full name "Flipje, the fruit boss from Tiel"
Designed in 1935 by
the publicity agency Van Alfen by order of the jam factory "De Betuwe" in Tiel. Originally only as a cartoon character, later on also display models for shops, money-boxes, key rings etc. and this type of mascots for trucks were manufactured.

Cotton hat with piped front strips and a garnish of band folded into "snails", embroidery and lace strips.
On the back of the head a fan-shaped white cotton strip, trimmed with (machine-made) lace.
The hat has metal eyelets in which a loose decorative bow can be crocheted.
